Our project for the semester was to execute the project plan for moving a lighthouse and it's relating structures. We created a Work Breakdown Structure, financial estimates, and much more as shown in our final presentation.

This was a fascinating course that details how psychology is intertwined in marketing techniques. We learned about heuristics, signaling, pricing methodologies, and more. We had weekly discussion forums that allowed us to apply the techniques we learned about to our individual experiences. The lessons I learned in this course are something I can carry with myself no matter where my career path winds up.
Course Overview
Also known as MBA 585, this course offers industry insight through presentations from leaders in the biotech world. The experience is immersive as we apply what we've learned to case studies and our own projects.
Biosciences Management
For our final project of the semester, my team and I dove into the nutraceutical market. Our goal was to identify key trends in the industry. We accomplished this by soliciting consumer input through a survey campaign, contacting industry leaders, and conducting thorough market research.
New Trends in Nutraceuticals
Our presentation included an overview on an aquaculture leader, Marine Harvest. We summarized the dilemma faced by Alf-Helge Aarskog when he became CEO in 2011. We evaluated his proposed ideas for expanding the business, and offered our opinion for which option we felt was the best strategy moving forward.

My semester-long research project explored the ethical dilemmas that have come about regarding collection and use of posthumous sperm. It's an interesting landscape as posthumous use remains unregulated in the US and has led to a number of ethical concerns.
